Personal Introduction

Personal Introduction:

My name is Kaitlyn Sistare. I am currently a senior in the graduating class of 2018, and I have proudly attended Coventry High School in Coventry, Connecticut throughout my entire high school career. Upon entering as a freshman, I was determined to try new things but also continue some previous interests; most of all, I wanted to find myself and to make lasting friendships.

Now as a senior, this is my eighth year playing the trombone in band and my third year in Tri-M Music Honor Society. Music is a huge impact on my life, and I am proud to have auditioned for and accepted into the Connecticut Eastern Region Band Festival during my sophomore and junior year, as it was an amazing experience to play among talented musicians from around the state. This is also my fourth year participating on the high school volleyball and tennis teams. One of my most memorable experiences at CHS was during my senior year when we won the volleyball state championship; as cliché as it sounds, I will never forget those momemts with my team. Therefore, I am so incredibly glad I decided to tryout for the volleyball team in my freshman year because if I had not, then I would not have had the privilege of playing on the legendary CHS volleyball team as well as playing in the offseason, where I traveled to Florida to play at the 44th AAU Girls' Junior Volleyball National Championships.

Coming into high school, I made it one of my top aspirations to earn a class rank within the top ten. In order to achieve this goal, I put as much effort into my schoolwork as I could, completing all of my homework on time, performing extra credit when provided the opportunity, and studying for every test. I am extremely proud to say that I am currently 4th in my class, and I continue striving to achieve the best I can throughout the rest of my time at CHS.
